Good bye, Dexa Medica!!

Last Friday was my last day in PT. Dexa Medica. I had been working for almost 5 months in this pharmaceutical company. It’s a big company with good management and policy. This company is located in TB Simatupang street, South Jakarta. The office building is nice, but I don’t think that the employees are happy with this location. It’s not easy to reach this office, especially for those who commute with public buses. They need to walk about 300 M from the main road to the office building. For those who have their own vehicles, they have to pay the parking service in high prices. Some of my friends put their vehicles at the other buildings to save money, even though it makes them walking far enough to our office building.

I worked in Management Information System Department. My manager was a nice young woman. She was a smart and friendly person, but she had some things that we didn’t like. She’s always panic when we faced problems related with our job. She became talk active and annoying. The second thing that we didn’t like from her was when she became upset or panic; she couldn’t help herself from sharing some private things to others. Just like when I got the scholarship from Fulbright, she became upset for she had not found a new person to replace me yet. So she shared my story to many people in the general meeting with other departments. Oh God…!!!

However, she’s one of the best leaders that I’ve ever had.

I had nice friendship with some people in Dexa, especially in my department. They were crazy and cheerful friends. One of my good friends here was Gloria Limbong, but we just call her Oli. I kept thinking about her when I ate Dunkin Donuts hahaha….

I lived in a boarding house in Wijaya Street, South Jakarta. My place was near with Pasaraya Grande – Blok M, where I could buy Dunkin Donuts easily. I brought donuts to my office almost everyday to save my belly in time of hunger

Oli liked donuts very much. So these donuts had made our friendship blooming like flowers in spring time. I think she just liked me because of the donuts hehehe… (sorry, Oli).

On my last day in Dexa, they asked me (I think they forced and threatened me) to perform a farewell party in a restaurant. In the end, I took them to D’Cost, the seafood restaurant in Kemang area. We went there with 3 girls from ITD Department. Actually I wanted to invite my manager, but my friends didn’t happy with my good intention. They said that our manager would make us hard to talk and making jokes. Poor BJUN (my boss’ nick name). I think she’s always nice to me. We even had had lunch together before in Mangkok Putih Restaurant, in Citos. Well, I didn’t want to make my friends unhappy or frustrate in my farewell dinner, so I canceled my plan to ask my manager going with us.

We had nice dinner at D’Cost. We ate crabs and fish. The foods were delicious, but there’s something bothered us. This restaurant was crowded, so we couldn’t stay longer after having dinner. We needed to leave the restaurant soon because there were a lot of customers waiting to get available table.

I enjoyed having dinner with them, although some friends were not able to make it. I know I’ve been missing them, especially Oli with her crazy laughing. I’m proud that I’ve ever been one of the MIS personnel. Good bye Dexa Medica, good bye MIS!!!
